About this policy
This policy covers The Pole Vault App mobile app. It is separate from the website privacy notice at thepolevault.app/privacy, which covers the website and its support form.
What the app does
The Pole Vault App brings technique lessons, drills, and training resources together in one place. You can explore the five pillars — Run, Jump, Push, Swing, and Turn — browse drills by phase and focus, explore High School and General Prep training tracks and a twelve-week view, upload videos, track personal bests, compete on leaderboards, join the community, and submit videos for Ask the Coach feedback.
Information you provide
- Sign-in: You sign in to use your profile, uploads, leaderboards, community, and Ask the Coach. We collect the sign-in information needed to run your account.
- Videos and training content: Videos you upload from practices and meets, personal bests, goals, training diary entries, and competition participation.
- Community and leaderboards: Posts, tips, and results you share in the community hub and on leaderboards.
- Ask the Coach: Videos and questions you submit for individualized coaching feedback.
- Support messages: Anything you include when you contact us.
You can browse lessons, drills, and training tracks in the app, and you choose what to upload or share.
Information other users can see
By design, videos you upload, personal bests, leaderboard entries, and community posts can be visible to other athletes, coaches, friends, and competitors in the app. Only upload and share what you are comfortable sharing in that way. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information in videos, posts, or messages.
Information collected automatically
When you use the app, the services that deliver and host it may process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as device and app information and request logs.
How we use your information
To run the app and its features, show your profile and progress, rank leaderboards, deliver Ask the Coach feedback, respond to support requests, and keep the app safe and working.
Sharing
We share information as needed to provide the app: with other users as described above, with coaches who review Ask the Coach submissions, and with service providers that host and store app content. Apple handles App Store downloads under its own privacy practices. We do not share your information for advertising.
Ask the Coach payments
Ask the Coach is a paid feature. Payments are handled by the payment provider used at checkout. We do not collect or store your full card number.
Retention and deletion
We keep your profile, videos, and training content while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your videos or account by emailing micah@thepolevault.app. Content you shared publicly may remain visible until it is removed.
Children and teens
The app is rated 13+ in the App Store. It is not for children under 13. If you are under 18, use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission, and a parent or guardian can ask us to remove a minor’s content.
Security
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid sending sensitive personal information through the app or support messages.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update it with a new date. For questions or deletion requests, email micah@thepolevault.app.
